CCC: What does F.R.E.E. stand for and what does that mean to you?

F.R.E.E. : FREE stands for ‘Finally Resurrected Embracing the Everlasting’, it means a lot to me. God used the gift and power of WORDS to resurrect every dead area of my life.

The end result of that is I have gained more wisdom to apply divine knowledge to my life, as well as speak life into others. This alone has allowed me to embrace and hold tight to that which is everlasting!

The message and mission of FREE is Universal.

CCC: Do you remember where you were when you wrote your first poem?

Not exactly, however I could not have been any older than eleven or twelve. It was after the passing of my father.

Writing became an emotional outlet for me to deal with the pain and anger. There were people to verbally talk to; however allowing the pen to communicate through me on the page was a bit easier.

CCC: What is the main theme of your poems?

The main theme of my poems is holistic freedom.

Tea Talk is a Creative Interactive Self Development Series for Women that will awaken the Subconscious for good!

The three intended goals of the Tea Talk forum series are :

Women will develop a powerful support circle
Women will learn the healing properties of tea blends
Women will acheive their goals and live in purpose

CCC: What effect, do you think, offering awakening to a ccculture's women has on the ccculture as a whole?

Think about it, if a nation can rise no higher than the woman it is certainly necessary for us to completely develop ourselves for the betterment of the sisterhood first, the family unit second, and our communities third.

The effect of offering awakening to women of culture as a whole will be unity, empowerment, and genuine love. For it are these three things that will allow us to consistently levitate and become comfortable being our BEST SELVES.

This act of true self development will allow us to effectively cause change in everything (people, places, and things) else around us!

CCC: How is your life as a poet ccconnected to your life as an entrepreneur?

My life as a poet has fueled my life as an entrepreneur. Fusing WORDS is my gift however publicly sharing allowed me to take my first step into entrepreneurship without even realizing it.

I went from the stage (performance) to the page (book) and began getting paid within my first two years of sharing. However I realized that although I was an amazing poet, my knowledge of business ownership lacked.

Thus, I began to educate myself through reading and speaking with other full time poets and artists to create better self marketing strategies.

Since I have landed a few hosting gigs, featured on a track with Daryl ‘DMC’ McDaniels, and created a signature line of products. The next move for me will be to tour and do some travel writing.

CCC: Tell us about FREE Spirit and FREE Speaks...

FREE Spirit and FREE Speaks are two fifths of the ‘SENSE OF FREEDOM’ Signature Product line. FREE Spirit is my signature fragrance.

I consider it to be my soul in a bottle, a delightful extension of my love, light, and creativity. FREE Speaks is an online archive of inspiring and affirmative audio MP3’s and ringtones available for download.

The Founder of RichSista.com has one goal in mind: Empowering women and girls of color to cccreate inter-generational wealth. Such a simple concept, you'd wonder why you hadn't thought of it. Or, why hasn't someone done this before?

In a brilliant show of intuition and cccreativity, Ashley Peoples, has taken a concept that has traditionally been packaged for 'majority' audiences and flipped it on it's ear by offering down-to-earth, Sista to Sista advice on wealth building. We talked with Ashley to get the inside scoop on the RichSista next door...

CCC: What is the inspiration for CCCreating RichSista?

AP: I wanted to offer women of color an alternative to the financial education products currently on the market. After going to a seminar one day, I saw about 150 women of color eagerly seeking a financial education, and I thought to myself why doesn’t the person at the front of room teaching look like the people in the chairs learning. (I’m sure that comes from background at Bennett College, an all women’s historically black college where there were a lot of African American women teaching the courses.)

There are successful women all around us who have experience, knowledge, and wisdom to pass on to the next generation of women of color, I think all women should have access to that information whether they received a high school diploma, a GED, a college education, or not. Information should also be provided in a way that is easy to receive. I think that learning about wealth from people who look like you and have a similar life experience makes it easier to digest and accept that you too can be successful.

CCC: How will women and girls of color will benefit from participating in its programs?

AP: Rich Sista’s primary program W.O.W. Mentoring is developed to teach women financial literacy, assist in starting businesses, and provide sound advice on how to use their innate talents to create wealth for themselves.

Using the video library, women and girls will have on-demand access to free information that can make a major difference in how successful they are in their start-ups. Our other programs such as the Women’a Create-A-Thon and Opportunity Workshops provide women face-to-face opportunities to meet, receive sound business advice in person, and actually work together on business projects sharing resources and woman power.

Rich Sista, Inc. also will be providing access to capital, so that women have the funding necessary to start their business and grow their businesses after receiving training at online & physical Rich Sista Empowerment Centers.

CCC : How do you think empowering a ccculture's women impacts that ccculture as a whole?
AP: In the USA, 1.9 million firms are majority-owned (51% or more) by women of color whose firms employ 1.2 million people and generate $165 billion in revenues annually. It’s easy to see how empowering the women of a culture makes amazing economic impact.

Imagine if those CEO’s, and executive leaders, whom are women of color told their stories and taught other women exactly what it takes to replicate their success, then that would be 1.9 million more women and girls making an impact.

And with the acceleration of information because of the internet, the impact can be global allowing the world’s most critical needs to be addressed by a generation of women educated and wealthy enough to solve the problems in front of us.

Between Women: Breaking Ground In LGBT Media

It's Tuesday, December 13, 9:00pm, people around the world are tuning into BetweenWomenTV.com for the premiere episode of LGBT-Themed Original Web Series, Between Women, written and directed by Breaking The Silence CCCreator, Michelle Daniel, but there's just one problem.

Due to an overwhelming response of viewers (Over 6,000), the server on the site crashed and only 600 people were able to view the episode the night of the premiere. Talk about CCCultivation.

Luckily for us, Episode 1 is now available on Between Women's Youtube channel and is ccclocking in at over 11,000 views. These are ground-breaking numbers to match a ground-breaking show.

According to AfterEllen.com, Daniel views the show "as Sex in the City meets L Word and 'gets a tan.'" We C Between Women as just the diversity that the LGBT cccommunity is seeking in how we are portrayed in the media. We are also happy to C some of our CCCreative family performing in the series.

Poet/Rap Artist "Look Alive" plays Rae Tyson, an up and coming musician who deals with the strain of co-parenting with an ex on her new relationship with her girlfriend (played by poet, Red Summer). Also on the scene is sister to The CCCollective, T Joi Flowers, the show's makeup artist and wardrobe assistant.

Other main characters include Brooke, an apartment maintenance supervisor with a dark past; Winny, a gymnastics teacher who is sick of her hot and cold relationship; Rhonda, a retail manager with a love of Miller; Miller, a successful Marketing Director who owns her own business: Mecca, an up and coming producer and a bonafide casanova; Sunny, who spends her days in a boring school career, bartending, and chasing women that she can't get; and Natalie, a sweet teacher with a girl next door quality trying to escape her troublesome past.

Together, the cccast of Between Women displays an array of lesbian women in Atlanta that people can relate to and we look forward to episode two as well as this entire new season of Between Women!

Kwanzaa has been a tradition celebrated in certain pockets of the Black Diaspora for 45 years since it was cccreated by Dr. Maulana Karenga in 1966 and has recently began making strides in the mainstream in the form of commercially available Kwanzaa decorations, greeting cards, and television appearances.

The non-religious Holiday, whose name is translated from Swahili as "First Fruits", celebrates 7 positive principles upon which true cccommunity can be built. On the Kwanzaa table, there are 7 symbols with certain meanings such as the mkeka (mat) that represents the foundation upon which the principles, represented on the table by 7 candles (mishumaa saba), stand.

They say time is money so if you take the time then you will earn the money eventually if not instantly.

How do I spread the word? I know I ask this question daily; but just like the editor-n-chief of the New York Times, spreading the word by any means is not an option. You have to exhaust all necessary methods that are available in order get others aware of your business. Build your network and deal with people on the internet who do exactly what you do and hopefully are doing a better job than you. This way the information you're seeking will center around what you do. You do not want to wast time networking with individuals whose business is the polar opposite of yours.

I have noticed a lot of slacking, when it comes to the homeless & hungry and they need our help,” states Mimi Johnson. Cinceria Rainer continues, “And after traveling the world, knowing these conditions are terrible, it shouldn’t exist right here in our own backyard.” They encourage those that attend to bring canned goods and/or clothing. The Caustic Ent’s fans, family, friends and the community bring clothes, canned goods, non-perishables, blankets, shoes, etc., monthly to support Shelters.

When we spoke with Co-Owner & Operator of House of Blended Ink (Hobi), Tamarah Jones aka SHE, she spoke with us about her and her partner, Ramon Taylor's, vision for HOBI as a "home for artists" where the creative can have a professional ends to their artwork. And by ends we means* making funds to fuel the motivation and desire we have to create. SHE's our kind of people.

House of Blended Ink carries creations from some of our Creative Culture Collective friends like Amore Kreative, Asante Wa Designs, Essential Essence, Luxor Coutoure & Imperfectly ME. Everything is hand-made from the art to soaps and jewelry, fashion-forward clothing by in-house stylist Yadiyda, candles, lotions, purses, oils and everything in between.
